Runways to Freedom Gift Acceptance Policy

Discretionary Acceptance
Acceptance of any contribution, gift, or grant is at the discretion of Runways to Freedom. The organization will only accept gifts that align with its mission and purpose, ensuring they can be utilized or expended in a manner consistent with the organization’s goals.
Donor Financial Security
No irrevocable gift, whether outright or involving life-income arrangements, will be accepted if it could reasonably jeopardize the donor’s financial security under any circumstances.
Tax and Legal Guidance
Runways to Freedom will not provide tax, legal, or other financial advice to donors. We encourage all donors to seek independent professional advice to assist them in the donation process.
Types of Acceptable Donations
Runways to Freedom will accept donations in the form of cash or publicly traded securities. Gifts of in-kind services may also be accepted at the discretion of the organization.
Review of Certain Donations
Certain gifts, such as real property, personal property, in-kind gifts, non-liquid securities, and donations with unclear sources or restricted uses, will undergo review prior to acceptance. This is to ensure that these contributions do not present undue obligations or liabilities for Runways to Freedom.
Acknowledgments and Receipts
