Runways to Freedom Gift Acceptance Policy

Discretionary Acceptance
Acceptance of any contribution, gift, or grant is at the discretion of Runways to Freedom. The organization will only accept gifts that align with its mission and purpose, ensuring they can be utilized or expended in a manner consistent with the organization’s goals.
Donor Financial Security
No irrevocable gift, whether outright or involving life-income arrangements, will be accepted if it could reasonably jeopardize the donor’s financial security under any circumstances.
Tax and Legal Guidance
Runways to Freedom will not provide tax, legal, or other financial advice to donors. We encourage all donors to seek independent professional advice to assist them in the donation process.
Types of Acceptable Donations
Runways to Freedom will accept donations in the form of cash or publicly traded securities. Gifts of in-kind services may also be accepted at the discretion of the organization.
Review of Certain Donations
Certain gifts, such as real property, personal property, in-kind gifts, non-liquid securities, and donations with unclear sources or restricted uses, will undergo review prior to acceptance. This is to ensure that these contributions do not present undue obligations or liabilities for Runways to Freedom.
Acknowledgments and Receipts
Runways to Freedom will provide acknowledgment to donors meeting the necessary tax requirements for gifts received. However, apart from cash and publicly traded securities, no specific monetary value will be attributed to receipts or forms of substantiation for other types of donations.
Donor Intent and Anonymity
The organization will honor the intentions of donors regarding gifts with specific purposes, including requests for anonymity. For anonymous donations, information about the donor will be limited to staff members with a need to know.
Prohibition of Compensation for Gift Referrals
Runways to Freedom will not compensate any third party, through commissions, finders' fees, or other means, for directing a gift or a donor to the organization.

The Journey of Anyiel Piok

Anyiel’s journey to becoming an international model began in the Kakuma Refugee Camp, where she was scouted during a cultural dance performance by Chol Bior, also known as JayPlus. Recognizing her potential, JayPlus took her under his wing and provided her with the necessary training. After honing her skills, ISIS Models facilitated her move to Nairobi, where her modeling training was worked on.

In Nairobi, Anyiel’s modeling career too shape when Runways to Freedom, an organization dedicated to discovering and nurturing new talent started on the move to empower her. Collaborating with ISIS Models, they processed her travel documents and arranged for her to participate in some of the most prestigious fashion shows across the globe.

Her international debut included runway shows in fashion capitals such as Paris, Milan, London, and New York. She also graced the stages of renowned shows in Sweden, Germany, Spain, and numerous other locations worldwide. Through these experiences, Anyiel has firmly established herself as a professional international model.

Today, Anyiel’s journey from a refugee camp to the world’s top runways stands as a testament to her resilience, talent, and the support of those who believed in her. Her story continues to inspire many, demonstrating that with determination and the right opportunities, incredible transformations are possible.
